ATMORE - Charles “Bobby” Leslie Sr., 68, of Atmore died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at Julia Goldberg Hospice Care Center in Pensacola, Fla.
Mr. Leslie was a native and longtime resident of Atmore and was a retired employee with the Atmore Water Department and he had also worked for Southland Telephone Company in Atmore. He attended the Ebenezer Lutheran School and was a member of the Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
His parents, Charlie Leslie and Dovie Leslie, preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one daughter, Torris Davis of Atmore; two sons, Charles (Jonna) Leslie Jr. and Deshazo Leslie of Philadelphia, Pa.; three sisters, Mary (Earl) Bradley, Annie (Robert) Poole and Willie Pearl McBride, all of Atmore, and Flora (Bobby) Brown of Fort Valley, Ga.; four brothers, Edd Leslie of Gilford, Fla., Robert Earl Leslie of Ft. Pierce, Fla. and Mark Leslie and Aaron Leslie, both of Atmore; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, 2008 at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church in Atmore with the Rev. Benjamin Stallworth, pastor, officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery in Atmore with Turner Funeral Chapel, LLC of Atmore directing.
